According to industry sources on the 31st, Nvidia introduced AI initiative that included such contents for Korean infra·technology after conducting online pre-briefing for Korean media on the day before.

It is a key point that Korea constructs AI infra using Nvidia’s recent GPUs Blackwell, and speeds up AI development in car·manufacturing·semiconductor·telecommunications along with digital conversion.

It is observed that the reason why Nvidia chose Korea as AI infra construction’s core place is the fact that Korea can convert solid value chain like semiconductor·manufacture·telecommunication·gaming·AI startups into real companies.

First of all, the government is about to support companies and industries’ AI development by setting up to 50 thousand GPUs.

Moreover, Samsung, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Company will introduce a maximum of 50 thousand GPUs, and Naver Cloud will introduce 60 thousand GPUs.

Nvidia said that “By the new Blackwell infra, Korea’s total AI GPUs will increase from 65 thousand to over 300 thousand”, and evaluated that “Korea was able to set the base to become global AI leader”.

Nvidia plans to prioritize GPU allocation for the Korean government and Korean companies.

Specifically, the GPU that will be supplied is ‘GB200 Grace Blackwell’, and is known that it will partially combine ‘RTX 6000 Series’ as well.

According to the fact that in industrial estimation, GB200’s cost is about 30 to 40 thousand dollars, it is predicted that the total supplement will cost about 10 to 14 trillion dollars.

The government and 4 industries not only focus on GPUs but also step ahead in constructing ‘AI Factories’ using Nvidia’s various platforms.

AI Factory is Nvidia’s term that indicates place producing Intelligence, unlike other normal datacenters.

Nvidia’s mindset is that if electricity moved the past industrialization forward, AI Factory will start the new industrialization of nowadays.

Nvidia, which declared its evolution as a mere chip production company to AI infra company, is currently backing up various Sovereign AI implementations, and with these collaboration, Korea’s Sovereign AI construction speed will increase.

Samsung starts an AI based manufacturing revolution by building a ‘semiconductor AI Factory’ which consists of 50 thousand GPUs, with Nvidia.

SK Group also constructs AI Factory using the Nvidia GPU. This factory sets the goal as studying and producing semiconductor and infra development, and throughout these acts, this company will speed AI agent development with digital twins.

Hyundai constructs Blackwell AI Factory to operate ‘AI based mobility’ with Nvidia. This AI factory consisting of 50 thousand Blackwell GPU is for training massive models in self-driving cars, smart factory, and robotics field, and is predicted that Hyundai’s AI transformation will receive enough boost.
